AUMA manufactures part-turn gearboxes which are used wherever a 90? swivel movement is required for the operation of a valve or damper. Being a part of that worm gearboxes are used for the operation of part-turn valves [e.g. butterfly valves, ball valves]. Salient features are as follows:
Short-time duty S2 - 15 min [Open-close duty]
Intermittent duty S4 - 25 % [Modulating duty only bronze]
They can either be operated in:
manual operation directly via handwheel
motor operation [electric multi-turn actuator]
Gearbox is prepared for mounting an actuator flange
Clockwise rotation at the input shaft results in clockwise rotation at the output drive
Torques up to 675,000 Nm
Reduction ratios from 39:1 to 3328:1
Swing angles up to 100?
Adjustable end stops [option]
