Product Profile of Thyristor Power Regulators
Theta Controls supplies thyristor power regulators, which provide several advantages in electrical heating control, and other industrial voltage/power regulator applications. They enable more accurate temperature control, lengthen heater life by 200 to 700%, and eliminate contractor maintenance problems. These regulators come as phase angle types, with adjustable voltage, current or power limit [optional]. These are best suited for infrared and incandescent heaters, transformer loads and general heater applications where high temperature accuracy is required. The regulators also come as Zero-Crossing type for general heater applications. They come in power ratings of 1 kW to 400 kW, as open chassis units [for OEM/retrofit applications] or as complete panels and turnkey systems for furnaces, process heating, etc.
