Thermal Shock Resistant Hot Work Steel is used where operating temperatures of the tool may reach levels where resistance to softening, heat checking and shock is important. The Steel has good heat resistance and medium wear resistance and distortion in hardening is low. The Steel can be used as die-casting dies, extrusion dies, plastic moulding dies, hot forging dies, hot gripper and heading dies, hot mandrels, hot work punches, and hot shear knives. The Thermal Shock Resistant Hot Work Steel has good temperature toughness.
