Key Features of The Fail-safe Pressure Switches
- Switch failure is eliminated this is because only the force that is built up on the actuator presses the movable contact. Other forces are held back by the contact plate / pressure plate
- The movable contact does not come in direct contact with the diaphragm. Hence during operation when the movable contact gets heated the diaphragm does not get affected and remains intact
- The contact chamber is separated from the diaphragm by an intermediate chamber. This prevents carbon particles from being deposited on the contacts and keeps the contact gap intact, thereby insuring efficient functioning of the switch.
