Product Profile of Temperature Controllers
Athena has launched hot runner temperature control systems for multi-cavity injection moulding machines. These feature a series of firsts for moulding machines.
The features include:
- practical, plug-in, interchangeable modular system;
- micro-processor- based, self tuning temperature controllers;
- Compu-Step heater conditioning system;
- CompuCycle power con-trol system;
- built-in diagnostics; automatic power hold if thermocouple breaks;
- self regulating manual power controllers;
- main frames field convertible to global power supply systems;
- heater conditioning system; designed to prevent burning or hardening of plastics; and,
- built-in SCR power controllers for each zone.
- up to 48 modules can be monitored-and controlled;
- communication module provides information and control capabilities to a remote system operator.
