Product Profile of Spark Tester
SEV Electrical Equipments offers Spark Testers. SEV spark testers are designed to test the insulation of wires/cables so as to maintain the quality of wires and cables at extrusion level. The testers are available in two models, 15 kV and 25 kV. Specifications: input - 240 V 50 Hz, 1 phase AC; output - 0-15 kV AC 50 Hz [15 kV model] or 0-25 kV AC 50 Hz [25kV model]; HV transformer - oil cooled type housed in a fibreglass tank; electrode - ball chain type for 100% contact; sensitivity - as per clause A-2 [appendix A] of IS 18010 [part 44] 1984; interlock - HT chamber door interlock; fault indication - by lamp, audible alarm; fault counting - by six digit electromagnetic counter; and enclosure - control unit - 19" rack system, HT chamber - in MS casing provided with MS stand. The design of SEV spark tester meets the requirement as laid down in IS 10810 [Part 44] 1984.
