Product Profile of Solid Carbide Endmills
Kadimi International supplies WXS solid carbide endmills. These solid carbide endmills are used for ultra hard machining. Endmills are available in standard sizes [square & ballnose] and for rib processing.These endmills are also used for machining material of hardness 45-70 HRC. To meet the requirements of high speed milling of hardened steel, WXS coating is a new coating designed . Some of the technical features of this carbide endmills include: WXS endmills allow for milling of 65 HRC material at 60,000 rpm; itoxidises at over 1,300 ?C compared to TiAIN, which oxidises at about 875 "C which allows for machining at much higher SFM with the WXS coating. Higher SFM means higher rpm. In turn, higher rpm means higher feed rates thus reducing cycle times. The WXS coating has a coefficient of friction of 0.3, while TiAIN has a coefficient of friction of 0.8, giving WXS coated tools more lubricity. Better lubricity allows for extended tool lifeand superior surface finishes, but to benefit from this greater lubricity, this new coating must be run at higher rpm.
