The metal shell is of two types- j mainly those made from Solid metal and those made from pipe. This shell made fron pipe basically consist of 3 components the pipe, shafts and flanges.
The pipe normally is made from mild steel. It can also be made from other metal like aluminum, Phosphor bronze, brass, cast steel, carbon fibre, plastic composite etc.
The shaft material normally consists of different types of Steel starting from M.S. 1 other Steel Alloy materials depending upon the end use of the Roller.
Flange materials depend on the type of pipe and the shaft and normally are of M.S.
