Kermel offers Protective clothing against heat and flames. This protective clothing is ideal for fire fighters, police forces, military and industrial users.
Since clothing is made from polyamide-imide fibre [classified in the metaaramid family], it is permanently non-flammable. Kermel fibre also provides excellent thermal insulation, as well as good mechanical characteristics and resistance to chemicals.
Kermel is spun-dyed during the manufacturing process, which makes it possible to achieve lifelong colourfastness. The fibers are easily blended with
other FR fibers allowing the greatest possibility of
fabric blends. Kermel yarns can be woven or knitted
into pure aramid fabrics or in blends. Fabrics weights
and constructions vary depending on the end-use.
