Akzo Nobel offers a range of powder coatings, each suited to a particular application. Resicoat RT 9000 R6 is 3-layer pipe coating primer. The high level of reliability is based on the combination of the best features of FBE [Fusion Bonded Epoxy] and stabilised PE [polyethylene] or PP [polypropylene]. The FBE primer bonds the steel to the dhesive layer and prevents cathodic disbondment. The copolymer adhesive provides a tight bond between the FBE primer and outer PE/PP layer. The PE/PP layer provides a tough flexible coating with outstanding resistance to mechanical damage. Resicoat RT 9000 R6 is a tough and resilient range of primers, which guarantees high resistance to chemical attack, thus ensuring perfect adhesion and outstanding resistance to cathodic disbondment.
