Each soft gelatin Ozocal Capsule contains
Calcitriol B.P........0.25 mcg
Calcium carbonate.I.P........ 500 mg [equivalent to elemental calcium 200 mg]
Zinc [as Zinc Sulphate dried] ..............7.5 mg
The Ozocal Capsules are used against Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, age associated, Osteoporosis, Postmenopausal Osteoporosis and Renal Osteodystrophy [a condition resulting from chronic kidney disease, characterized by impaired renal function, elevated serum phosphorus with low or normal serum calcium levels, and stimulation of parathyroid function]. These Ozocal Capsules are also used in Secondary Osteoporosis [disease /drug]. The optimal dose of Ozocal is 1 capsule [0.25 mg] O.D. for 4-6 months or as suggested by the physician. The dose of Ozocal is 1 capsule B.I.D for 4-6 months or as suggested by the physician for menopausal osteoporosis. Each capsule comes in a box packing of 5 X 10s.
