Larger PCD worm wheel gives larger area for engagement, resulting in lesser contact face-pressure and lesser wear. Cannon plugs for connecting cables, prevent motor-encoder from possible damage due to water entry. Pneumatic clamping is adopted for a small size of rotary tables. On a larger size tables hydraulic clamping is adopted, which is a circular hydraulic system. The wear resistant alloy double lead worm gear results in low co-efficient of friction, which in turn yields high mechanical efficiency, allowing maximum power transfer.
