Meter Interface Unit with In-built SMPS Power Supply communicates using RS232 interface to the energy meter via optical port and through RS485 interface with DCU. It periodically reads the data from the meters and stores all the Instantaneous, tamper and load survey as per predefined time intervals in 4 MB nonvolatile memory.
