These line drivers work with a wide variety of equipment since they are completely transparent to character formats [5, 6, 7, 8 data bits, any number of start/stop bits]. A special "Cable OK" indicator can be provided with alerts in cases of broken cable or incorrect connections. It is available in three different models.
