IR non-contact temperature indicator is only a solution for object like move, rotate, or vibrate, are in strong electromagnetic field, are located in process chambers or behind windows, combustion gases/ flames, surface temperature measurement and many more. Using advanced optic systems and detectors, non-contact infrared thermometers can focus on nearly portion of the 0.7 to 14 micron band. Because every object emits an optimum amount of infrared energy at a specific point along the IR band, each process may require unique sensor model with specific object and detector type. The intensity of an object`s emitted infrared energy increases or decreases in proportion to its temperature. It is the emitted energy the target`s emissivity that indicates an object`s temperature. Emissivity is a term used to quantify the energy emitting characteristics of different material and surfaces. IR sensors are adjustable emissivity setting usually from 0.1 to 1.0 IR laser type temperature indicator/thermometer, pyrometers and available with wide temperature ranges, for different target distance, programmable minimum, maximum, average, difference in temperature, high/low alarm and recall facility of last reading.
