Product Profile of Intelligent Ethernet Network Module For Fieldpoint
National Instruments manufactures an Intelligent Ethernet FP-20xx network module for FieldPoint which manages a mode up to nine FieldPoint I/O modules consisting of any analogue and discrete I/O in the fieldpoint product line including dual-channel modules and terminal bases. The resulting FP-20xx-based mode can automatically negotiate for 10 BaseT or 100 BaseTX Ethernet connection for network communication. This intelligent ethernet network module FP-20xx module also include RS-232 serial port to communicate with other serial devices in the system including serial FieldPoint systems and serial radio modems. For data and application storage the FP-20xx modules FP-2000 with 3 MB and FP-2010 with 11 MB flash memory are provided with almost same functionality and specifications. The FP-20xx are also provided with optional code and the modules can execute one simple PID loop up to 370 Hz or 8 PID loops [two 8-channel I/O modules] up to 300 Hz with the loop rates dependent on Labview execution priority settings.
