The Integrated Multi-Function Modules are of four types like Body Control Module, Lighting Module, Engine Temperature Module and Door Module.
Key Features of Integrated Multi-Function Modules
- Body Control Module: Takes in information of various inputs and drives body parts like Door Lock Actuators, Lamps, Defogger etc and communicates with other controllers and also provides diagnostics information.
- Inputs: Low Side Switches, High Side Switches, Sensors, Analog, Other controller outputs etc
- Outputs: Relays, Relay Drivers, Lamp Drivers, Other controllers
- Communication: CAN, LIN, K Line etc.
- Lighting Module: Senses various switches and receives RKE information and controls Roof Lamp, Key Ring Illumination, Foot Lamp, Head Lamp, Rear Fog Lamp etc with Battery Saver feature.
- Engine Temperature Module: Senses Engine Coolant Temperature and also Coolant Level and controls Radiator Fan, Cluster Temperature Gauge and warns of Low Coolant and High Engine Temperature.
- Door Module: Immobiliser, Remote Key Entry, Park Assist
