Optics & Allied Engineering manufactures illuminated magnifiers with fluorescent lighting. The 130 mm diameter computer aided designed optical quality lens gives 4X magnification to ensure distortion-free stereoscopic vision. A circular fluorescent tube provides illuminates the object and work area. It provides a field intensity of over 5,400 lux of daylight colour and eliminates the shadow from the object under inspection. A 55 mm diameter additional parallel lens provided as an option can be swivelled into and out of place as required. Model 005 is a table-top model with a fine leadscrew mechanism for height adjustment. Model 008 with universal stand allows the lens head to be positioned at any angle in the XYZ plane. This unit is available with a vice base for clamping to the edge of the work-table or can be mounted on a light-table of size 450 x 300 mm. The magnifier encourages bottom illumination for inspection of PCBs, PCB holes, photographic transparencies and artwork.
