Glyceryl Ester of Rosin Gum is a glyceryl ester of rosin, yielding fast drying varnishes with medium to low viscosities from linseed oils. The Glyceryl Ester of Rosin Gum is extremely stable resin and resists oxidation. This Glyceryl Ester of Rosin Gum gives varnishes of higher initial gloss because of its high refractive index. It has a gloss retention property and has great versatility. The Glyceryl Ester of Rosin Gum is compatible with the raw or processed drying oils. The compatibility of Biolac 1401 extends to ester type of waxes, hydrocarbon waxes, to most resins synthetic or natural, and to chlorinated rubber generally. The Glyceryl Ester of Rosin Gum is mainly used in aluminum vehicles, general purpose enamels, spar varnishes, cheap marine enamels.
