Precision International supplies, Gamfior of Italy`s manufactured Grinding spindles both high frequency and belt-driven types; milling and boring spindles [HF type]; external- grinding spindles [also with hydrostatic bearings]; and precision ballscrews. The company has introduced HF internal-grinding spindles in the new generation series GNS having the rotor produced with very special high-efficiency electrical laminations so as to provide more power within a compact body, and using hybrid bearings of ABEC9 quality. All components are hardened and ground; and all rotating parts are dynamically balanced to less than G 0.4 residual unbalance. The radial-run out and the axial run out at the quill-mounting seat of the shaft is within 2 microns and I micron, respectively. These spindles are available both as grease-packed [with reduced max speed] or with air-oil lubrication. Spindles with OD 170 mm can be used also for external grinding. These spindles are ideal for use in bore grinding or track-grinding of bearing-rings; for the grinding of auto-components; fuel-injection parts; gears; and others.
