Compact DC drive, Model GE 157 from Gururaj Engineers is used for up to 2 HP DC motors. Different types of inputs like start stop inch [optically isolated] and 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 4-20 mA as reference are accepted. This DC drive can work with conventional DC motor. The speed of a DC motor is directly proportional to the armature voltage with fixed filed excitation. Technical specification of the product: range-0.14 HP to 2 HP; input-start, stop, inch, digital commands; ref-analogue 0-5 V/O-10 V: 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA [optional]; supply-230 V 10% 50 Hz; output-field fixed 200-220 V DC, armature-variable 0-220 V DC; field current-1A max; cooling-natural air cooling; dimensions-W 180 x H 230 x D 100 mm; and mounting-base plate mounting [inside panel]. Standard feature include: LED indication for quick fault finding/status indication; soft start; field fail protection; armature current limit/trip; fuse protection; 1 HP/2 HP selection through link; normal/PMDC motor selection through 1 link; and Run [Start] Stop, Inch selection through optical isolator so that command from PLC/external source can be given to the drive.
