The construction and properties of UTP/Cat5 are as under:-
Conductor: - Annealed High Conductivity, Electrolytic Grade Solid Conductor of AWG 24 [0.51mm]. [No. of Conductors being Eight]
Dielectric: - Specially formulated Polyolefin.
Twisting of cores: - Two Cores are twisted to form a pair. The lay of the pairs are so chosen to minimize the cross talk, structure return loss and meet the required communication properties. The four pairs are laid up.
- Pair 1 - WHITE - BLUE
- Pair 2 - WHITE - ORANGE
- Pair 3 - WHITE - GREEN
- Pair 4 - WHITE - BROWN.
Jacket: - Covered with Special Formulated PVC Compound. [Colour - Black]
