Athena Controls has offered a family of panel-mounted universal process controllers available in four DIN sizes: l/4, l/8, l/l6 and l/32. Each model is microprocessor controlled with on-demand auto tuning and complete On/Off through full PID functionality. The single channel controllers give accurate, closed-loop control without set point overshoot. The XT Series accepts signal inputs from a wide range of probes and sensors, including K, J, N, R, T, S and B thermocouples; RTDs and linear inputs, including 4-20 mA to l-5 volts, and other industry standard current and voltage ranges. Standard features on all models includes: dual LED displays, user-selectable ramp to set point, dual.output/ dual alarm capabilities, field-configurable process, deviation, and latching alarms, and bumpless auto/manual transfer. Options include RS-232/RS-485 bidirectional communications and remote set point select. Other available features include process variable transmission, heater break alarm, and dual I/O card. All the controllers feature dedicated sub-menus that make parameter setting and changing easy and foolproof. Scaling, engineering units, and digital filtering times are all operator-selectable from keypad. The power supply accepts 120 to 240 V AC without transformer tap changes or polarity identification.
