Century Plyboards [I] Ltd., from 1986 is the well known maker of `Centuryply` brand of Plywood and decorative veneers. It is the first ISO 9002 company in India for Veneer and Plywood. One of the premium plywood is the Architect Ply. It is a BWR based plywood which uses a 1:2 vital veneer to veneer ratio. Some of the unique features are:
The veneers used in the core & panel have no overlaps, splits or gaps & uses a 1mm thick face veneer.
GLP Technology used which protects the ply from erosion.
The Core and panel veneers are 1.8mm thick ensuring total permeability of the Resin along with the preservative in every layer.
The product is pre-pressed to give a homogeneous spread of moisture making the product warp free.
The ply has a density of 825kg/m3 combined with additional lines of thermosetting phenol formaldehyde resin, results in a product that has enhanced physical & mechanical properties.
