These all geared precision lathes are available with technical specifications like medium size operation; 310 mm swing over bed; 910 mm distance between centre run; 1.5 hp three-phase electric motor; dynamically balanced spindles enabling spindle running at 65-1,810 rpm speeds; induction hardened guide ways with better wear and tear resistance and performance; and hardened and ground gears for enhancing life of all geared head. The company supplies these lathe machines with features like foot brake system, steady/ follow rest, 3 jaw/ 4 jaw chuck, chip tray, splash guard, reduction sleeve, machine lamp, thread dial indicator, change gears and face plate. The Herbert-Smith all geared precision lathes come with additional accessories like coolant equipment, taper turning attachment, quick-change tool post and 1 or 2 axis digital read out [DRO] system.
