4 Hi Cold rolling Mills are heavy-duty machines designed for fast reduction of Ferrous/ Non-Ferrous Sheet and Strip. The mill can be of either Work Roll Drive or Back-Up Roll Drive depending on the Rolls, which are driven. In case the drive is given to the two Back Up Rolls, the mill is called a Back Up Roll driven mill which is suitable for finer/ thinner gauges and in case the drive is given to the two Work Rolls, the mill is called a Work Roll driven mill which is suitable for heavier gauges/ thicker material.
