Product Profile of 2-wire Head-mounted Transmitter
British Electricals offer 2-wire head-mounted transmitter RTR-2. The RTR-2 is a non-isolated two-wire transmitter which converts the measuring signal of a Pt-100 into a standardised load-independent, 4-20 mA current which is linearly proportional to the measured temperature. The RTR-2 transmitter is provided with excellent load resistance compensation and Pt-100 linearisation conforming to BS-1904 characteristics. Calibration is performed by a DIP switch array for the coarse range setting and two [zero and span] multi-turn potentiometers which are used for the final fine-tuning. For complete safety, the potentiometers and the switch array are located behind the top cover. The RTR-2 is housed in a metal enclosure fitting into DIN B connection heads. Because of this enclosure this has good RFI immunity. RTR-2 is certified as intrinsically safe according to CENELEC EExia-IIC-T6 standard, allowing the transmitter to be used in Zone 0 areas when connected via an approved barrier.
