The Rolls are made of Alloy Steel, having high hardness [about 60-62 HRC] and are ground. The drive to the Rolls is given through a combination of Gear Box - Pinion Stand - Universal Coupling Spindle Assembly. Gear Box is a two-stage reduction unit having helical gears fitted in robust mild steel fabricated body.
