The product 2/34 Mbps Digital MUX [FM-2/34] Equipment combines upto sixteen 2048 Kbps plesiochronous tributaries inputs into a single 34368 Kbps output. Five terminals of FM-2/34 can be housed in a single slim rack of the 2/34 Mbps Digital MUX [FM-2/34] Equipment. The multiplexing is carried out using a process of positive justification and cyclic bit interleaving. Using a bit disinter leaving process, the demultiplexer separates the 34368 Kbps input into four signals, A dejustification process convert 2/34 Mbps Digital MUX [FM-2/34] Equipment to 2048 Kbps signals. An exhaustive list of commands covering all OAM & P activities is available to control local and remote station equipment through a MMI.
